Eddie (Buster) Murphy will portray Harriet Tubman for the Lincoln Public Library! Harriet Tubman escaped enslaved in 1849 by fleeing to Philadelphia. She then became a conductor on the underground railroad and led enslaved people to escape to the northern United States or Canada. Tubman was also instrumental in the women’s suffrage movement.
